नई दिल्ली, जागरण ब्यूरो : प्रधानमंत्री मनमोहन सिंह ने अपने चंडीगढ़ दौरे के दौरान सुरक्षा एजेंसियों के असंवेदनशील रवैये के कारण सुमित प्रकाश वर्मा की मौत पर गहरा दुख प्रकट किया है। वर्मा की पत्नी को पत्र लिखकर प्रधानमंत्री ने इसके लिए माफी भी मांगी है। इतना ही नहीं आहत प्रधानमंत्री ने सुरक्षा एजेंसियों को आम आदमी के प्रति संवेदनशील होने की तगड़ी नसीहत भी दी। गौरतलब है प्रधानमंत्री की सुरक्षा में लगी एजेंसियों ने मंगलवार को सुमित प्रकाश वर्मा को सुरक्षा एजेंसियों ने पीजीआईएमईआर अस्पताल जाने से रोक दिया था, जिसके चलते इलाज नहीं मिलने से उसकी मौत हो गयी थी। . प्रधानमंत्री ने वीवीआईपी सुरक्षा में लगी एजेंसियों को आम आदमी के प्रति संवेदनशील होने की नसीहत देते हुए उनसे साफ-साफ कह दिया है कि सुरक्षा में लगी एजेंसियों को आम आदमी के प्रति संवेदनशील होना ही होगा। इसके पहले सुमित प्रकाश वर्मा की पत्नी को लिखे पत्र में प्रधानमंत्री ने गहरी संवेदना प्रकट करते हुए कहा कि मैं समझता हूं कि आपके पति मेरे दौरे के कारण समय पर अस्पताल नहीं पहुंच सके। इसके लिए मैं माफी चाहता हूं। उधर रेडक्रास सोसायटी ने सुमित के परिजनों को दो लाख रुपये का चेक बतौर मदद भेजा है। सुमित का बुधवार को अंबाला में अंतिम संस्कार कर दिया गया। लोगों का गुस्सा प्रधानमंत्री के माफीनामे के बाद थम गया।
