You know that skateboarding has come full circle when it goes to the dogs — literally. From bulldogs to Yorkies and everything in-between, hard-core skateboarders have been teaching their beloved companions the moves, and among the cream of the crop and becoming an internet sensation is Tillman, the English bulldog.

The tan and white pooch can ride on 3 legs and kick with the other before jumping on, steer left and right around corners, and even tackle ramps, weaving in and out of amazed bystanders at breakneck speeds.
And when he comes a cropper he coolly flips the board over, tucks it under a paw and lifts it up with his teeth before putting it back on the ground.



















The 3-year-old dog has become a worldwide star after his owner Ron Davis posted a video of Tillman skateboarding on the internet, which has been viewed by more than 4,000,000 people.
“He absolutely loves it and just whizzes around.” said Ron.








Tillman started skating when he was only 6 weeks old. Ron said he discovered the incredible talent when he stood him on a skateboard while he was merely a tiny puppy.

Worlds Largest Barbecue World Record


Surpassing anything remotely close to your typical Hungry Man’s Meal, ravenous participants in Paraguay have broken the Guinness World Record for the largest one day open-air barbecue.



More than 30,000 people grilled their way into history on October 26th to devour 61,600 pounds (28,000 kilos) of meat over the course of 6 hours to create the world’s largest barbecue in the Mariano Roque Alonso township located on the outskirts of Asuncion.
To set a Guinness World Record, the entire bovine should be eaten in less than 8 hours. Bloated participants made short work of the feat in record timing, consuming an average of more than 2 pounds per person.









Volunteer barbecue masters built fires covering a massive area 197 feet (60 meters) wide by 328 feet (100 meters) long, about the size of a football field.
Known locally as “Todo bicho que camina va al asador,” the event name translates into English as “Every critter walking goes to the barbecue.







Beef cattle are a mainstay of Paraguay’s economy, but the barbecue was held in solidarity for women victims of mistreatment and children who suffer from leukemia, with funds raised from the $3 entrance fee.
“All of the food that was there was eaten. It’s the largest quantity of meat that has been eaten at one event held on one day.” said the judge, Ralph Hannah.
“It’s an official record, a Guinness World Record, and Paraguay will be in the next edition.” he added.
In achieving the ‘Largest Barbecue in the World,’ the Paraguayan town shatters the previous record, an 8-hour eat-a-thon of 21,700 kilos that took place in Philadelphia in 1996.

Creepy Crawly Slithery Snake Massage the New Rage


While it may be enough to make one’s skin crawl at the mere thought of it, people have been flocking to a spa in Israel for the latest craze in avant-garde massage therapy — real-life snake massage.



You might consider the ultimate masseurs to be hard-bodied experts, but at Barak’s Snake Spa in Talmei Elazar, northern Israel, the customers are raving about the sensation of slithering snakes across their skin.
Ara Barak claims her pet snakes provide a therapeutic relaxing value for stress relief. She was inspired for her latest massage technique after noticing her friends became more relaxed after holding them.
“Some people said that holding the snakes made them feel better, relaxed.” she said. “One old lady said it was soothing, like a cold compress.”








Ara said her snakes produce their unique massage as their slithering causes a rubbing sensation on the body for aching muscles and joints.
The size of the snakes depends on the type of massage — the larger ones are said to alleviate deeper muscle tensions and the smaller ones create a lighter ‘fluttering’ effect on areas such as the face.
For those a little leery or reluctant, you might be relieved to know that all snakes used are non-venomous.
Ada Barak’s snake spa uses California and Florida king snakes, corn snakes, and milk snakes for the massages, for a mere $70 US.









If reptiles are too much for you, Ada also offers a rodent-style massage where mouse and rats are placed on the bottom of your feet instead.
The therapist had relied on exhibiting her scaly friends to make money, but found there was more money to be made from people wanting a massage reptile-style.
She began offering the service at the Talmey El’Azar tourist attraction in 2006, but most of her income currently comes from displaying plants at her carnivorous plant farm which eat everything from insects to small mammals.

Manic Monkey Waiters in Japan


Not your typical monkey business, two furry critters are making a monkey out of top-notch maître d’s as they serve tables waiting on hungry customers in Japan, working for nothing more than mere peanuts — or rather, soya beans, to be specific.



The two monkey waiters are the star attraction at the Kayabukiya tavern, a traditional “sake house” north of Tokyo, which employed the uniformed Japanese macaque.
Yat-chan and Fuku-chan serve customers drinks and hot towels to clean their hands before they order, as per Japanese custom, and are given soya beans as tips which they get to eat in their down-time.
Four-year-old Fuku-chan has only 2 years experience under his furry belt, so his work load is limited to hot towels.
















The macaque monkeys are actually family pets that have been allowed to help in the bar. It all came about when tavern owner Kaoru Otsuka noticed 12-year-old Yat-chan had started aping him, and realized they were capable of working in the restaurant.
“Yat-chan first learned by just watching me working in the restaurant.” said Kaoru.
“It all started when one day I gave him a hot towel out of curiosity and he brought the towel to the customer.”
















Both monkeys are certified by the local authorities, which means that animal rights regulations regularly visit the premises to ensure the creatures aren’t being mistreated.
“The monkeys are actually better waiters than some really bad human ones.” said Takayoshi Soeno, a customer at the restaurant.
Shoichi Yano, a regular at Kayabukiya’s, says the animals are like her children.
“Actually, [they're] better.” she said. “My son doesn’t listen to me but Yat-chan will.”


















Some customers claim that Yat-chan can even understand their exact orders.
“We called out for more beer just then and it brought us some beer!” said customer Miho Takikkawa, who came to the tavern specifically to meet the monkeys.
“It’s amazing how it seems to understand human words.”
The monkeys work in shifts of up to a maximum of two hours a day due to Japanese animal rights regulations.
But owner Otsuka is hoping to train another generation of monkey waiters, after receiving three new baby monkeys this year.
