Now let me give you reasons, It causes Insulin hyper secretion which eventually lead to resistance. Do you know how we get energy to act ? ATP's found in our body are our biological currency ( Adenosin Tri Phosphate) This Tri-Phosphate gives a phosphate atom and gives us energy to work ( Turning in to Di-phosphate in process ) now unfortunately our bodies only have enough ATP's to give us energy to work for few seconds, then glycogen in our muscle with start breaking up making glucose which would undergo anaerobic glycolysis, Converting ADP's into ATP's (Which gives us again energy) and the cycle repeats. Now here in this anaerobic glycolysis end product is lactic acid which makes your muscles feel exhausted ( Nature's mechanism so one can't work out much without proper practice/training etc ). If this lactic acid wasn't in your muscles, you wouldn't feel tired in response to exercise. Now here comes your creatine mono hydrate in play, It has an extra phosphate, So it can reconvert ADP into ATP without undergoing anaerobic glycolysis ( No lactic acid, less tiredness ) and it causes water retention ( muscles appears full ) what a wonderful creation for supplementation companies ? They gets the money, you get to exercise more, your muscles appear full and everybody lives happily ever after ? Sadly no My Advise, Stay away from this. Rest if your choice. |

^ i was quite good in biology and i am well read on ATP and the associated processes involved in energy production and the generation of lactic acid.
creatine helps retain water in muscles, which gives that pumped-up feeling. insulin resistance is a well known fact in body building industry and that's why people cycle creatine usage - so that the body doesn't get used to it! i haven't met anyone who has taken creatine lifelong. they do it on need basis. all the body building products are harmful and people use it with caution. there are plenty of stories about how novice body builders ended up with drastic side effects of supplements. careful users had very less issues. if the OP wants to have creatine in natural form then better start eating lots and lots of meat. |

More importantly, you don't need creatine unless you're powerlifting.
If you're deadlifting anything less than 150-200Kg I don't even know why supplements other than whey for protein needs and simple regular caffeine pre-workout would even cross your mind. I'm not a doctor, but I would still recommend staying away from supplements you don't even need at this stage |
