Our new servers for picscrazy are now active. Instead of just copying the old site, I have re-written much of the code. Hopefully, you will like this new site more.

So now I present to you the new picscrazy. Please use it and report any issues in this thread. Along with the abuses, some kudos are also welcome.

Currently, it is running at new.picscrazy.com. After we transfer all the old images, we will make it www.picscrazy.com as always.

The main features are same as earlier, but under the hood it is a brand new site. I have rewritten most of the code and it now has a slightly improved look and some new things. But most importantly, it is much much faster and scalable than the old site/server.

Mainly:

1. short urls at pzy.be - no need to shorten urls using a third party redirector. typical urls are like:
   http://pzy.be/t/2/image.jpg
2. more filenames supported - earlier we allowed only alphanumeric filenames. now we support additional characters -
   • dash -
   • underscore _
   • dot .
   • plus +
   • equals =
   • comma ,
   • brackets ()
   • braces {}
   • square backets []
   • and space
3. improved layout providing more space for the main image without scrolling
4. random thumbs are currently off. Later I will give you a separate page for that. No need to clutter up the individual image display.
5. old images are still on old server. we will transfer them slowly after this works properly for new images for a couple of days.
6. after all old images are transferred, I can change all xb posts to new url scheme from the database. no user will need to edit his posts manually.
7. this new site is html5 and css3 compliant. there may be some quirks, but I will iron them out.
8. the page you get after uploading a file is somewhat untidy, but i will clean it up later.
9. longer filenames allowed - upto 255 characters.
10. this site does not change / distort your filenames, even if they are duplicate. first image called image.jpg becomes pzy.be/v/2/image and next one becomes pzy.be/v/3/image.
11. currently this site is at new.picscrazy. later, the site will become www.picscrazy. but that will not change the urls used for sharing. those will remain as pzy.be
12. transload and the direct upload thingy from new post / new thread page on xb are not active right now. will do them tomorrow.
13. larger thumbnails - now the standard thumb size is 200x300 pixels.
14. multiple file selection in one field. no need to click separate fields for multiple files.
