Pressure of Finals was clearly visible on Lahore Badhshahs team today. 1st Final of Edelweiss 20s Challenge witnessed a thrilling game of cricket. Hyderabad Heroes defeated Lahore Badhshahs by 6 Runs
Hyderabad Heroes won the toss and elected to bat. With the help of some quick fired runs in last couple of overs, Hyderabad heroes managed to get a
competitive total of 143 runs at the loss of 6 wickets. Mohammad Sami and
Mushtaq Ahmed bowled very well for Lahore Badhshahs. Sami 4 overs for 15 runs and Mushtaq bowled 4 overs for 14 runs, which eventually helped Badhshahs to keep Hyderabad team limited to an achievable total.
Hyderabad heroes were all pumped up in the field when they came out to ball.They made sure that wickets keep falling at regular interval, which lead them to the win in the 1st of best of 3 Finals for Edelweiss 20s Challenge Tournament. Lahore Badhshahs, who were unbeaten throughout the tournament, finally lost. Thanks to some great bowling, nice fielding and an awesome team effort.
Badhshahs needed 12 runs off last over. Abdur Razzak was given the
responsibility to bowl the last over and he didn’t disappoint his captain and
the team. In an eventful last over, Razzak conceded only 6 runs. 3 wickets fell in the last over. Razzak bowled 4 overs for 18 runs to claim 3 wickets.
Hyderabad Heroes now lead the Best of 3 finals with 1-0. Next final will be
played on Sunday, April 6, 2008
