Is anybody here a petrol pump dealer for any of these companies? We are thinking about starting a petrol pump dealership. We would really really appreciate any tips or ideas about how to proceed with this and if it is a good idea. Will it give us good return on the investment? Are there any problems that we shud look out for. Is the selection process tough? What shud we do to increase our chances of getting selected in the selection process?

The person who is thinking abt dealership qualifies for handicap quota so my other question is is it easy to get dealership through handicap quota or is there tough competition there too. I wud really really appreciate any tips or suggestions regarding this so plz plz if u r in anyway related to this field guide us. We will be really glad for ur help.

their is too much corruption in getting petrol and gas dealership...it wont be an easy process..u will have to pay a lot of money to these corrupt bastards

Yeah,its not easy to get a license.The corrupt MP and MLA take a lot of money for the license which is much more than the license fee.Especially they manipulate the defence quota and allot them to you.So,they charge a lot of money for the license only.Rest you have to arrange like land,water,power supply,local police clearance etc.(here you have to pay bribe too).Also dealership is mostly required in areas where there will be less petrol pumps and in a way it benefits you too.Putting a pump on the highway is also benefecial.You can look out for tenders in local newspapers.

Those days are past. Now if you have the plot you will get the dealership. Any Bank will be too happy to loan the working capital & building funds to you. Now its very easy.

No petrol bunk can be run profitably and smoothly without the whole hearted co- operation of its employees. Many pumps in Kerala are facing crisis due to labour militancy.
